The NPRA Legacy Seismic Data Archive is searched by selecting a single seismic line, or a collection of seismic lines, and selecting a data type.
Seismic lines are selected by seismic line identifer, a latitude/longitude window, or both.
Seismic line identifiers have the following format:
{line id}-{2 digit year designation}{optional descriptive charaters}
where:
To search using a seismic line identifier, the user must check the SEARCH BY LINE ID check box and enter a line identifer value for which to search. A seismic line identifier may be entered exactly as needed, or by using the "%" (percent) character as a wild card which may represent one or more unspecified characters. Examples of seismic line identifier search strings are:
To search using a latitude/longitude window, the user must check the SEARCH BY LAT/LON WINDOW check box and enter the north latitude, south latitude, east longitude, and west longitude as decimal degrees in the appropriate box. Latitudes south of the equator and longitudes west of the prime meridian are entered as negative numbers.
The user may use both a seismic line identifier search string and a latitude/longitude window by checking both boxes and entering the appropriate information.
The data type desired is selected by clicking the appropriate radio button next to the data type description.
Once the user has entered the appropriate information, the search is performed by clicking on the SUBMIT button. Values in the search text boxes may be cleared by pressing the RESET button.
A list of all seismic lines will be returned by pressing the SUBMIT button without having either the SEARCH BY LINE ID or the SEARCH BY LAT/LON WINDOW boxes checked.
